We are from Scotland and have come to Australia to visit both Adelaide and Australian open. I have been to Wimbledon a number of times but Adelaide is so much better. It is friendlier and you get much closer to the play. W
We had our photo taken a number of times from players. We stayed at Eos city and had photo taken with Korda and Musetti as they returned to their hotel . Brilliant experience
We were relieved to be able to have our driver drop us out the front. There was a delay processing our digital tickets as the machine broke down, we were told a technical issue. Thing is there was no backup machine and everyone waited for 15 minutes in hot afternoon sun. As one lady pointed out they force you to buy digital tickets there are no other options so they need to make it effective and efficient. The Southern stand afternoon sun was scorching, no shade, and noticed other sections where sun was beaming in as it was setting. Alot of comments from spectators about this, being hot, and everyone sweating. The Southern stand female toilet was one toilet only and while the assistant suggested we use other female toilets it was either upstairs to the northern end or to the eastern side, more of a walk for spectators with bad knees or walking issues or older. My mum just sat in the southern stand the whole 2 games as she couldn't do all the stairs and walking and waiting for the one toilet available that was close but long line up. The food tasty but rather expensive. We only drank water provided which was easily accessible. The overall experience and facilities provided was not comfortable for us. Next year we will watch on TV. The tennis and players were great of course. Disappointed. There needs to be improvements for spectators comfort and convenience.
I watched QFs and SFs. There were many audiences and the atmosphere was very good.
On the other hand, it was kind of disappointing that the flow of the match changed a couple of times due to miscalls of the line judges.
Also, I didn't know where to buy tournament merchandises. I wanted to buy a strap for a smartphone but I could not.
Great event which attracted many big names in tennis. Getting to the event and entry in to the stadium was easy and straight forward.
The tennis was great but not enough seating around the bars and options for drink & food. Needs to step it up there.
Game was great. Getting home was horrible, there were no taxi's, Uber's - no one knew where to go, including the taxi's etc. Thought we might not get home.
Great event, well organized. People are friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Great experience for the whole family.
It is great to see this event return. It was great. Disappointing that the catering was not in the area downstairs in the clay court area. This provided much better atmosphere before entering Pat Rafter Arena.
Great event
I love going to the Brisbane international. The Pat rafter arena is great, such good viewing of the court/game.
My feedback would be that the outdoor area that used to be down where the players lounge and media areas are now was amazing and it’s not the same family feeling venue without this.
In the past you could really make an afternoon of it and sit on the bean bags with the kids and watch pre-match entertainment or games on the big screen, it used to create such a fun and enjoyable environment.
Now it feels just like it’s about the commercial value per SQM.
The restricted alcoholic menu is limiting for those that don’t drink what is on offer, obviously the sponsors play a key part here.
I understand that it must be a commercially sound event with good returns but don’t forget about the customer experience that goes further than the court, the venue setup and offerings are important too.
Had front row seats right behind the players towel box, which was great. Had a great 2 days of tennis.
Wonder tennis at a great venue. So happy to have this tournament back after the hiatus. Only thing that we would have different is the food and drinks options….not enough to them. The wait time for us to get a coffee when we arrived meant I missed almost the whole first set of Osakas match. Then my daughter missed almost a whole set getting some lunch. We usually take food so maybe it’s always that bad but I remember there being many more food options both down on the courts out the back and also 5ish years ago there being that lovely restaurant come bar outside over those courts. Either way we never waited that long before. Maybe next year get more help in. But tennis was fantastic and seeing Rafa on Tuesday night was the highlight & that’s really what it’s all about 🎾🎾🎾💚💖
Fab day
The tennis was good and it is a small stadium so nice and intimate
However the entrance is not good and unsafe, enter and eat under a flyover!!. Why oh why did I have to spend a euro buying a food card but still pay for drinks with my normal card. This makes no sense and is designed to make more money.
Good games.
Poor ventilation in the stadium. Very bad experience.
The whole experience was wonderful.
Good tennis; glad they're moving the event to February in 2024. Very hot even with matches starting at 5:30 pm. Main stadium is nice, if somewhat "impermanent" - very rickety; in Section 200, you could feel it every time someone walked around. The "My Cashless" app that you have to install in order to make food/beverage purchases is a cumbersome process; hopefully I will be able to get a refund on the unused portion of the amount I set aside to make purchases.
The Atlanta Open needs shade for all audience members. They would sell a lot more tickets. Also, they definitely need more water stations in different locations to refill bottles, especially in this extreme heat.
As a Saanen local I am proud to say that the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad is hands down one of the most enjoyable event ever! What an Amazing atmosphere it brings, with always top quality players, really well organized, with stunning scenery and truly unforgettable memories. Looking forward to next years event already!
Fabulous day and accessible seats . Extremely helpful staff
