Despite having a strong record of reaching the National Hockey League (NHL) postseason, the New Jersey Devils have struggled to qualify for the playoffs recently having done so only once since losing in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2012. As Lindy Ruff approaches the end of his contract – with Andrew Brunette set to take over next season – the Devils are clearly showing their respect for their head coach by going on an impressive winning streak meaning they’re sitting at the top end of the Metropolitan Division.
