Attendances are skyrocketing, with the 2022 Australian Grand Prix seeing over 420,000 people visit the circuit over the course of the race weekend – a record for any sporting event in the country’s history.
After years of disruptions and cancellations, it is unsurprising that Formula 1 fans are keen to get back to their favourite circuits. Several Grand Prix events sold out their first ticket releases within hours, and attendance records look set to be broken once again when the full figures from the 2022 season are released.
Fans yet to purchase their tickets for this year’s slate of races should not despair. More than halfway through the season, there are still many Grand Prix events to come before the World Champion is officially crowned. Although lots of tickets have been snapped up early, several races still have some availability. Always a beloved race on the F1 calendar, the Italian Grand Prix returns to Monza’s beautiful woodland circuit from 9-11 September this year. This event is famous for its long straights, where drivers must use all their expertise to keep their cars under control at incredible high speeds. The heartfelt passion of the local fans also contributes to the magic of Monza, where the atmosphere rivals any sporting event in the world. General Admission tickets are available for all 3 days, starting at EUR €365 for a weekend pass. If you’re looking for a grandstand seat, a weekend ticket to the Laterale Sinistra stand can be yours for €1,830.
Immediately following the Italian event, the F1 machine will travel to Asia for the Singapore Grand Prix, held from 30 September-2 October. With Green Day, Westlife, and Marshmello all booked to perform, this race weekend will feature spectacular entertainment on and off the track. The best prices can be found for the Bay Grandstand, where 3-day passes are available from SGD $S325 (USD $235). For even better views, try the Turn 1 Grandstand, available from SGD $S1406 (USD $1018) for the whole weekend.
The United States Grand Prix boasts some of the best attendance figures of any F1 race, with more than 400,000 fans visiting Austin’s Circuit of the Americas for the 2021 event. Held in Texas since 2012, this Grand Prix has quickly become a fan favourite, and it returns this year from 21-23 October. Tickets are still available for many of the grandstands, starting from USD $747 for a weekend pass at Turn 19. General Admission passes are on sale from $580 for all 3 days, or from $67 for Friday entry.
In 2021, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the site of huge controversy, when Max Verstappen sealed the Driver’s Championship after a highly criticised intervention by race director Michael Masi. This race will once again conclude the Formula 1 season, and fans will be hoping for more excitement when Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton return to the Yas Marina Circuit from 18-20 November. Weekend passes start at AED 999 (USD $272) for viewing positions on Abu Dhabi Hill, or AED 1500 (USD $408) for the North Straight Grandstand.
