The oldest of the 3 men’s golf majors to take place on US soil, the US Open has been delighting golf fans across the United States – and the world – since 1895. NBA Summer League (12-22 July 2024), Basketball

Nowhere does basketball as well as the USA; the talent on show in the NBA is streets ahead of any other league in the world, from global superstars to top-class rising stars, so where better for fans to get a taste of the NBA than an event which brings together all their favourite teams. This 11-day celebration of basketball features all 30 NBA teams across 76 thrilling games as they battle it out to become the kings of summer. The NBA Summer League also grants fans much greater access to their favourite stars for selfies, autographs, and more! Currently, only resale tickets are available for this year’s competition, but in 2023 official single-day tickets started at USD $62.

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson (20 July 2024), Boxing

“Iron Mike,” “Kid Dynamite,” “The Baddest Man on the Planet” – boxing legend Mike Tyson is an American icon. One of the greatest fighters of all time, Tyson won 50 bouts in his professional career, 44 by knockout, and in 2024 he will pull on his gloves one more time for a fight of extraordinary proportions at AT&T Stadium in Texas. With more than 80,000 expected to be in attendance, Tyson will face a man 30 years his junior in the shape of social media star and burgeoning boxer Jake Paul (9-1 professional record). When these US megastars from very different eras go head-to-head in Arlington, fans can expect a titanic, Texas-sized tussle with pride, prize money, and boxing legacies at stake. MLS All-Star Game (24 July 2024), Football Soccer

There’s something uniquely American about the All-Star Game concept, and whether it's the NBA, MLB, or MLS, they make for fun, light-hearted celebrations of their league. In 2024, the MLS All-Star Game heads to Columbus Crew’s Lower.com Field for a showdown between Major League Soccer’s best and brightest and their counterparts from Mexico’s Liga MX. The Liga MX All-Stars were also the opponents in the 2021 and 2022 games, with the MLS side triumphing on both occasions. This year’s edition could be made extra special by the presence of Inter Miami star Lionel Messi, who will almost certainly feature if fit. The FIFA World Cup winner has enjoyed a fine start to the season, notching 6 goals and 2 assists in 6 appearances. US Open (26 August – 8 September 2024), Tennis

Every autumn, the Big Apple plays host to one of tennis’ biggest tournaments – the US Open. As one of only 4 events with the prestigious “Grand Slam” title and the last slam of the season, the US Open attracts the world’s most elite tennis players and huge crowds of supporters. In 2023, 19-year-old American Coco Gauff delighted home fans as she beat Aryna Sabalenka in the women’s final to take home her first Grand Slam trophy. In 2023, ticket prices started at around USD $50 for the early stages of the tournament, with prices increasing as the competition draws nearer to the final rounds. F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix (21-23 November 2024), Motorsports

Sin City is rolling out the neon carpet for the biggest racing series on Earth as the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix comes to town.
