Whit Wednesday is an exciting summer jump (National Hunt) racing fixture for thoroughbred horses and is held at Cartmel Racecourse in Cumbria, UK.
The culmination of Cartmel's opening fixtures is here offering a feisty display of jump racing from high-class runners and riders and plenty of entertainment off the track with food, drink, fun, and fantastic facilities. Nothing is better than the anticipation and thrill of watching live jump racing. As the racecourse opens so early and closes late in the day, Cartmel is unique in having gaps between their multi-day meetings, so there is plenty of time to take a day off and explore the beautiful Lake District after the Season Opener, then Monday Racing before coming back for Whit Wednesday!
