Season Opener is an exciting summer jump (National Hunt) racing fixture for thoroughbred horses and is held at Cartmel Racecourse in Cumbria, UK.
What a way to kick off Cartmel Racecourse's season by watching top-class jump racing from some of the best runners and riders, not to mention the entertainment off the track with food, drink, fun, and fantastic facilities. Nothing can beat the anticipation and thrill of jump racing. As the racecourse opens so early and closes late in the day, Cartmel is unique in having gaps between their multi-day meetings, so there is plenty of time to take a day off and explore the beautiful Lake District before perhaps coming back to the racing for Monday Racing in 2 days time and Wonderful Wednesday 2 days after that!
