Wales’s women played their first ever test against, against England, in 1987, and they have revisited that rivalry every year since. Despite the strength of Welsh sides through the years, however, they have only managed to beat England on 2 occasions – though one of those saw the Welsh claim a historic Triple Crown in the 2009 Women’s Six Nations!
The Wales women’s rugby union team is a highly capable side, which always matches its on-field skill with relentless grit and passion. It’s best finish at a Rugby World Cup was in 1994, when it reached the semifinals.
