Visiting Albany
While it might not be the most famous city in New York, Albany is in fact the state’s capital. From the grand fountains of the Empire State Plaza to the lawns of Capitol Hill, the city is crowned with history-defining buildings and monuments. While the Renaissance-style Capitol Building sits upon centuries of state secrets, the New York State Executive Mansion gives us insight into the lives of the state’s governors. Head Downtown though, and you discover another side to the city — a more vibrant and modern Albany. Think futuristic theatres, hip pubs, global cuisine, and cool art galleries amongst industrial-era establishments.
