The MetLife Stadium is located in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, around 5 miles west of New York City. The stadium is easily accessible by car and public transportation. It is highly recommended that visitors take advantage of the multiple transit routes which are available to them in New Jersey, which include subway, train, and bus services. There is also on site parking available to patrons travelling by car.
Below you can find general information on travel and parking for MetLife Stadium. Individual events may have additional/restricted services available, and so we recommend clicking through to the event and viewing the Travel & Parking tab for event-specific information.
A pre-paid parking permit will be required for all vehicles entering the Sports Complex (Stadium and IZOD Center sides of the Complex). The parking lots will typically open 5 hours prior to the start of an event and will close 2 hours after the conclusion of an event. Ticket holders arriving earlier than 5 hours prior to the scheduled event time will not be permitted to enter the Sports Complex and may be directed to leave the roadways that service the Sports Complex.
Ticket holders who do not have parking permits can park at the Edison Park Fast parking lot located next to the Frank R. Lautenberg Train Station in Secaucus, NJ (Secaucus Junction). The station is located off Exit 15X on the eastern extension of the New Jersey Turnpike. Ticket holders can park in this 1,100-space parking lot and take the Meadowlands rail service to MetLife Sports Complex. The parking lot is open 24 hours a day.
For all weekend NFL games, Gates 410, 411, 412, and 413 at the Port Authority of New York are used for the 351 Bus Service. For Weekday games, gate will be at Area X.
Train travel is a highly popular way to get to the stadium, as there are convenient train routes from multiple destinations, including New York City. Most of NJ Transit's rail system connects at the Frank R. Lautenberg train station in Secaucus, which allows fans from the region to quickly and efficiently reach MetLife Stadium. The Meadowlands Rail Service delivers guests directly to the front door of MetLife Stadium.
How to get to the game from New York City
Take NRQ or DF subway lines to 34 St-Herald Square Station. Transfer to a Hoboken-bound PATH train on the mezzanine level. Get off at the Hoboken PATH Station and walk upstairs to the NJ Transit Rail Station. Buy a ticket to MetLife Sports Complex Station and locate your train to the game.

Take ACE or 123 subway lines to 34 St-Penn Station. Buy a ticket to MetLife Station. Look on the departure boards for the next NJ Transit train that stops at Secaucus Junction Station. The screen will say "SEC" next to the line name. Board that train and ride it to Secaucus Junction, and then use your ticket to transfer via the escalators to the MetLife Service.
How to get to the game from Connecticut/Lower Westchester
Ride Metro-North's "Train to the Game™" – which provides direct service from the New Haven Line to the Secaucus Junction/MetLife Service for Sunday 1 PM games. Other times, transfer at Grand Central for the subway to Penn Station. Ride the train to Secaucus Junction, and then use your ticket to transfer via escalators to the MetLife Service.
How to get to the game from Long Island
Take any Long Island Rail Road train to Penn Station and transfer to NJ Transit. Go to the NJ transit concourse; look on the NJ Transit departure boards within the NJ Transit area between gates to Tracks 1 through 12. Look on the screen for the next train that stops at Secaucus Junction Station - the screen will show "SEC" next to the line name. Ride that train to Secaucus Junction, and then use your ticket to transfer via the escalators to the MetLife Service

MetLife Stadium offers an extensive range of concession stands, catering to every hungry visitor! For classic gameday options, try Bubba Burger or Franks. If you're looking for fried chicken, fried clams, or cheese fries, head to Boardwalk Fryer. The Deli offers turkey wraps and pastrami hoagies, while Nonna Fusco's Kitchen serves meatball and chicken cutlet sandwiches and Fat Rooster is known for its spicy chicken sandwiches and topped fries. Bahnbekyu serves Korean pulled pork and bao sliders, Taco's Raqueros specialises in tacos, burritos, and tostadas, and there are even salads on offer at Petite Greens. The stadium also features numerous pizza and cheesesteak stands, alongside empanadas, gyros, noodles, popcorn, cookies, and ice cream.
Beer and cider are available from many of the stands, as well as a range of soft drinks.
Gluten Free
Gluten free options are available at several concession stands. Petite Greens offers gluten free salads, and most burger stands can serve meals without the buns.
Vegetarian
Vegetarian options include burritos, tacos, rice and bean bowls, and tater tots.
Water Fountains
Accessible water fountains are located on each level of the stadium, outside each set of restrooms.
Gate Opening Times
For most events, including NFL games, the gates to the stadium open 2 hours prior to the start of the event.
There are restrooms located all throughout the stadium, and visitors may use the restroom that corresponds to their gender identity and/or expression. If any visitors would prefer privacy or a non-gender specified restroom, they are welcome to use any of the single-stall Family Restrooms located on each level.

There are two ramps in the stadium which access all levels of the Stadium. They may be found in either end-zone.
Accessible Parking
Drop-Off and Pickup Area
Guests should follow on-site signage and directions from traffic/parking team members for the dedicated drop-off section for guests with disabilities. The drop-off/pick-up area for guests with disabilities is located near Lot C, which is adjacent to the Verizon Gate. All other guest drop-offs are to be conducted on the sidewalk between Lots D and E. This roadway is accessible from Route 120 (North/South) or from the New Jersey Turnpike via 16W.
If during a NFL event, a limousine or taxi driver has a pre-paid parking permit the vehicle will be permitted to enter the Sports Complex after paying an additional fee with either a credit card or cash, but will not be permitted to park in striped parking spaces if the vehicle takes up more than one parking space or will obstruct the drive aisle. The limousine or taxi will have to be parked along a curb or in a location that does not block traffic and the driver must remain with the car.
Elevators
Elevators for guests with disabilities are available in MetLife Stadium at the SAP, Verizon, and Pepsi corners of the stadium. There are also elevators at both premium seating entrances, located on the east and west sides of the stadium.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted inside the Stadium.
Guest Services Booths
Inside MetLife Stadium there are so 8 permanent and 7 portable Guest Services Booths. Portable booths are located outside and inside the Verizon and Pepsi Gates, and inside the SAP and MetLife Gates. Permanent booths can be found near sections 124, 149, 227, 249, 303, 324, 328, and 349. The Guest Services Representatives have been trained to handle guests’ questions, comments and concerns.
First Aid
Trained doctors, nurses, and EMTs are on-site during events to provide basic and emergency medical services. The First Aid rooms are located near Sections 103, 128, 301, and 326, and on the Service Level in the Bud Light corner. Additional response teams are located throughout the stadium, and the medical team can provide visitors with basic over-the-counter medical needs such as aspirin and band-aids.

MetLife Stadium has a capacity of approximately 82,500. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
