Visiting Omaha
Omaha is a sparkling high-rise city that sits along the Missouri River which defines the state line between Iowa and its own state, Nebraska. American pioneers first came to Omaha in the 1850s and after rapidly becoming a transportation hub thanks to its centrality in the USA, it was dubbed the ‘Gateway to the West’. Today, Omaha’s historic Old Market District has remained intact, but now it is buzzing with cool bars and restaurants, shops, and galleries. Besides this, the city is best known for its leading research and conservation at the Henry Doorly Zoo, which is home to the world’s biggest indoor desert and jungle.
