Car is a popular method of getting to the arena, due to the ample amount of space for event parking, however, the venue encourages guests to consider walking, biking, taking public transit, or carpooling to avoid traffic.

🅿️ Parking

The KFC Yum! Center has a convenient multi-level garage located under the facility operated by PARC. Event parking is $10 and will be collected as you enter the garage.

There are also many other parking options in the surrounding area. This includes more than 19,000 spaces at parking garages and surface lots, and more than 2,200 on-street parking spaces. The KFC Yum! Center arena garage also has several handicap parking spots available for patrons.

📍 Where To Stay

Of course, the historic Downtown district is the soul of Louisville, and the place to stay if you want to get a true sense of the city. From Fourth Street Live to the Kentucky Center, it provides all the entertainment you could ask for, as well as restaurants and bars.

Some of Louisville’s top attractions are its museums, many of which are concentrated on Museum Row near the Ohio River waterfront in the Bourbon District. This district is ideal for keen tourists who want to immerse in the city’s culture, as well as its fine whiskies.

To surround yourself with the city’s coolest galleries and shops, stay in the upscale yet undoubtedly hip East Market District (aka NuLu). It is concentrated with bars serving everything from craft beer to bourbon, and restaurants serving everything from BBQ to Thai cuisine.

Head south of Downtown to go back in time at Old Louisville, the city’s historic district distinguished by its Victorian Mansions. It is quieter and more residential than Downtown, yet just a few minutes away. Like NuLu, this district is also known for its popular galleries, restaurants, and bars.

Families might prefer the more wholesome and community-oriented Butchertown and Irish Hill districts. They are situated just a few kilometres from Downtown along the Ohio River near a number of parks, they offer the perfect balance between urban and suburban life.

Although there are buses running through Louisville, the best way to explore the city is either on foot or by taxi.

About KFC Yum! Center

The KFC Yum! Center s a multi-purpose sports arena in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky. It is named after the KFC restaurant chain and Yum! Brands, the parent company of KFC. The Louisville Cardinals men's and women's basketball teams from the University of Louisville are the primary tenants of the arena complex. It is also home to the U of L women's volleyball team.

There are 22,090 seats in basketball, making it the biggest designed entirely for basketball in the United States. The arena is the second-largest for college basketball in the country, behind the Carrier Dome, which is built to host football and lacrosse and basketball. The venue currently has a record attendance of 22,815 from March 9, 2013, when Notre Dame was on the court (men's basketball).

As well as basketball and football, the arena has also hosted major sporting events for professional wrestling companies and various concert performances.

The KFC Yum! Center has more than 170 permanent and portable points of concessions that offer something for everyone’s taste. Outside food / drink is prohibited.

Doors open at varying times according to the nature of the event and preference of the promoter / artist. Typically, doors will open an hour before an event. There is no re-entry during events.

All guests will be required to pass through metal detectors upon entry to the building.
