📜 History

Construction for CoolToday Park began in 2017, spurred on by the Atlanta Braves' desire to relocate their spring training operations from Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, where they had been stationed in springtime since 1998. The new ballpark in Venice, Florida would cater to both the franchise's future needs and the comfort of their fans.

CoolToday Park opened on 24 March 2019 when the Braves took on the Tampa Bay Rays. The venue has a seating capacity of approximately 8,000, with additional space available on a grass berm in the outfield. Embracing innovation and modernity, CoolToday Park also features state-of-the-art training facilities, multiple practice fields, and space for year-round operations in baseball and other events.
