About FAU Stadium

FAU Stadium is an American football stadium located on the main campus of Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton, Florida. The venue is the home ground of the Florida Atlantic Owls college football team.

📜 History

FAU Stadium opened in 2011, following a 3-year fundraising campaign that raised money through student fees, naming rights agreements, and private donations.

The venue has served as the home ground of Owls football since its opening, and since 2014 it has also hosted the Boca Raton Bowl in the college football postseason.

In 2014, the playing surface at the stadium was renamed Howard Schnellenberger Field in a tribute to the Owls' first head coach, who led the football program from its creation in 2001 until his retirement at the end of the 2011 season.

First Aid

The stadium's first aid room is located on the northwest concourse at section 112, close to Gate 6.

Lost & Found

Items found during a game can be turned in to the guest services office on the concourse below section 112. All items remaining after the end of the game will be handed to FAU PD and can be collected the following business day. After 30 days, all unclaimed items will be discarded.
