Due to the extensive parking available at the venue and the great road links, driving is one of the most popular ways to reach the SAP Center. There are also good public transport connections nearby via train services.

There are over 6,000 parking spaces within a ½-mile radius of the SAP Center. Approximately 1,500 spaces are located on-site in the large parking lot next to the building (ABC Lot) with entry from either Santa Clara or Julian Streets. There are another 500 spaces in the lots less than one block off Santa Clara Street at Autumn, Montgomery, and Cahill Streets. Parking lots typically open 2.5 hours before the start of an event. Accessible parking is located in SAP Center’s Lot A (in ABC Lot). Nearby curb cuts provide easy access for wheelchair users. There is accessible parking available in Lot D. Guests may utilise the public crosswalks to access SAP Center. In order to park in one of the designated spaces, you must have a disabled plate or placard. Standard parking rates apply for parking in disabled parking spaces.
Situated within Silicon Valley, San Jose has grown to become one of the most expensive cities in the USA. The tech-leading city is therefore home to many high-end modern branded and boutique hotels with lavish suites. While there are a number of budget options too, they are priced at the upper end of the budget spectrum.
There is a great range of concession stands offering various types of food and drink.
For hockey games, guests may bring in reasonable amounts of food and non-alcoholic beverages for their personal consumption. For all WWE, tennis, NCAA Basketball, and Mixed Martial Arts events, guests are not permitted to bring in any food or beverage. This does include bottled water. Reusable water bottles that are empty are permitted. These can be filled at the water bottle filling station located at Section 117 on the main concourse.
The arena conducts security checks with walk-through metal detectors at every event. All large bags, large backpacks, and suitcases will not be permitted in the building. Permissible bags must be able to fit underneath your seat without blocking the aisle way. Baby bags are permitted, but baby strollers and baby carriers are not permitted
SAP Center has a general “no re-entry” policy during all events. Should a guest of the arena have an emergency or a legitimate purpose to exit and re-enter the building, the guest may obtain proper authorisation and have their ticket scanned out.
There are multiple passenger & ride-share pick-up zones located near SAP Center. These areas include Stockton Ave, Cahill Street, and Almaden Blvd. To avoid road closures, it is recommended that drivers leave plenty of time.
SAP Center provides accessible drop-off areas located on Montgomery Street, Barack Obama Blvd, Cahill Street, and Montgomery/St. John Street. Guests with disabilities may be dropped off and picked up at the North Entrance curb which is in Lot B. Inform the parking attendant that you are dropping off only and you will be given access to the parking lot. Guests with disabilities can be picked up at the North Entrance curb.
The VTA (Valley Transit Authority) buses services Diridon Station which is a 322 m (4 min) walk from the venue.
Bus and Shuttle parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Access is granted from the entrance of Autumn Street & St. John Street only.

Guests are encouraged to cycle to SAP Center as the venue provides a secure location to park bicycles. Complimentary bike parking is available on Autumn Street. All bikes are monitored by an attendant 1 hour prior to when doors open. Bikes will be left unattended 30 minutes after the end of the event. Please provide your own locking mechanism.
As the arena is centrally located in San Jose, there is plenty to see and do within walking distance. Right next to the SAP Center is Arena Green West, a park sitting on the Guadalupe River with a carousel and playgrounds. Downtown San Jose and San Jose State University are just a 1.0 km (12 min) walk away with these areas featuring an array of restaurants, bars, shops, and sights.

SAP Center ticket prices can vary depending on several factors including the teams or players competing, the ticket type, and the ticket seller. In the last 12 months, we have seen tickets as low as USD $12 for certain events at the arena. The Ticket Office at SAP Center is located in the southeast corner of the arena and is open only on event days, 2 hours before the start of the event. To compare ticket types and prices and secure yourself the right ticket for you before arriving at the arena, it is best to purchase your tickets online.

For most events, gates at the arena open to the general public 1 hour prior to the start time listed on the event tickets. For San Jose Sharks games, doors open 75 minutes before the start of the game for Sharks 365 members and 60 minutes prior to the start of the game for other ticketholders. For some events, you can find the gate/door opening time on Koobit by viewing the event’s Schedule tab. Timings should also be confirmed on your tickets when you receive them.
SAP Center has a capacity of approximately 18,543. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
