Visiting Fresno
With San Francisco to the north and Los Angeles to the south, Fresno is California’s central city. And with fine Californian wineries in the west and world-famous national parks in the east too, it is also the perfect base to get a taste of everything California has to offer. Within just a few hours’ drive of Fresno, you can find yourself amongst the vast salt flats of the arid Death Valley or in the dense forests of Yosemite with views of El Capitan, its famous mountain in the distance. Meanwhile, Fresno itself awaits to show you that even though it’s small, the city is by no means short of entertainment. Cool brewpubs, elegant wine bars, hip art galleries, and an abnormally large amount of theatres fill its streets with fun.
