Due to its rural location - just over 7 km outside of Salisbury - and the free parking available at the venue, Salisbury Racecourse is best reached by car. There are also some bus services connecting to Salisbury and the train station.

Parking is free at Salisbury Racecourse. There are several car parks so please follow the directions of the car parking stewards on racedays. Please note, vehicles are left at the owner's risk. Any motor vehicles parked, operated, or driven on Salisbury Racecourse facilities should be done so solely at the risk of the owner and the operator. Salisbury Racecourse will not be liable for damage to any such motor vehicle, or vehicle contents.
There are 10 favourably located accessible car parking spaces (on grass) in Car Park 2. However, if using another car park please advise the car parking attendants if you require an accessible space and they will aim to park you as conveniently as possible.
There is dedicated taxi rank for taxi drop-off and collection on racedays which is located between the Annual Subscribers Car Park and the Coach Park.
Taxis are often in high demand on racedays particularly immediately after a race meeting has finished, and it is advisable to book. Salisbury and the surrounding towns have several reputable taxi firms.
There is a bus connecting the racecourse to Salisbury Train Station.
Coach parking is located adjacent to the pull-up area about 200m after the winning line. Coach parking is free, but coach drivers will be asked to fill in a simple Coach Security Pass on arrival. Picnics are permitted but barbecues or more formal catering is not, without prior consent of the racecourse management. For health and safety reasons no glassware may be used for drinks consumption, in the coach park.

The railway station is about 4 miles away from the racecourse and a single taxi journey is between £12 and £20 depending on the day and takes about 15 minutes.

In addition to the Moonraker and Conservatory restaurants, Salisbury Racecourse has a range of bars and eateries in all enclosures to suit every palate and budget. Salisbury Racecourse, as well as catering partners, where possible, use local suppliers providing high-quality homemade food.
Picnics are allowed for all badge holders in the Sarum Enclosure, however, visitors are not permitted to bring their own alcohol into any enclosure.

As the racecourse is 7.1 km (85 min) outside of Salisbury, it is not recommended that racegoers walk to or from the venue.

Salisbury Racecourse hosts about 16 racedays a year during the flat racing season - between late April and mid-October - in the UK horse racing calendar. There is a mix of race types with the majority being handicaps (where horses of similar ability race against each other) and maidens (where horses that have yet to win a race compete).
Salisbury Racecourse ticket prices vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the Bibury Enclosure offering greater access around the course will be more expensive than those for the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
