The racecourse is clearly signposted and just minutes from Junctions 12 and 13 of the M4, also easily accessible from the M3. The course is also clearly signposted from the M4 and from the A34 South of Newbury. There is ample free on-the-day parking.
The taxi drop-off and pick-up point is located outside East Entrance.
Newbury Racecourse is easily reached by public bus route 9 which stops at the Grandstand stop (which is a 170 m (2 min) walk from the racecourse) and Rondetto Avenue (which is a 400 m (5 min) walk from the racecourse).
Newbury Racecourse has its own station, one stop from Newbury Station, with direct trains from London Paddington on selected major racedays and regular connections from the west of the country. The station is just a 40 m (1 min) walk from the course.
The racecourse is just a 1.4 km (17 min) walk from the centre of Newbury where there is a range of shops, restaurants, and other facilities.

There will be extensive bag and physical search procedures for everyone at the entrances, which may include search dogs. You may also notice a stronger security presence throughout the site and the vicinity. On occasions, the police may directly use further drug detection methods to support our own searching regimes. Please be prepared for this and allow sufficient extra time. Please also bear in mind that if you exit at any stage, you will need to pass through security to re-enter. Please do not bring unnecessary bags or luggage into the racecourse.

Newbury Racecourse hosts a range of horse racing events throughout the year with flat racing in the spring and summer months and jump (National Hunt) racing in the autumn and winter months meaning there is something for everyone! One of the biggest meetings at the racecourse is the Al Shaqab Lockinge Weekend when the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes is run.
