Located 8 km to the north of Newcastle upon Tyne, there are a multitude of ways to travel to Newcastle Racecourse as it is ideally situated in the North East of England. If driving, follow brown and white tourist board signs bearing a horse and rider from the A1, A19, and main approach roads to Newcastle. There are also great public transport links.

There is ample free parking available onsite for all raceday and event guests. Owners, trainers, and jockeys have a dedicated car park, opposite the main entrance.
Disabled parking is also located in close proximity to the racecourse entrance.
A taxi from Newcastle City Centre/Newcastle Central Station will cost approximately £10.
Numbers 43 and 44 leave from Haymarket Bus Station in Newcastle City Centre every few minutes and arrive at a stop just outside the racecourse road entrance.
There is a free shuttle bus service on Saturday racedays that runs from Four Lane Ends & Regent Centre Metro Stations to the racecourse, beginning an hour and a half before racing running till the first race time, and then returns from the racecourse to the same metro stations directly after racing.
Newcastle is a pretty affordable city to visit, meaning it’s easy to find cheap and cheerful accommodation if that’s what you prefer. However, as Newcastle is not a glamorous city, don’t expect to find too many high-end hotels.
There’s a wide selection of places to grab a quick bite or refreshing beverage at Newcastle Races. If you don’t want to be too far from the action, there is plenty of choice in the enclosures. Please be aware that some stalls and bars only open on feature days, and may not be available at all fixtures.

The Premier Enclosure offers the MFB Stand Bar, the Grandstand Enclosure has the Blaydon Bar, the Eider Bar, and Craft Corner.
No alcohol or barbeques can be brought into the racecourse.
Please use the East Gate for all entry.
Typically, gates open 2 hours before the first race. For feature and festival fixtures, gates may open earlier.
There are toilet facilities located throughout the venue in all enclosures.
Newcastle Central Station is the closest main line station, and it's approximately 15 minutes and £10 to the racecourse by taxi. Regent Centre and Four Lane Ends Metro Stations are situated 2 miles from the racecourse and a shuttle bus operates Saturday fixtures only.

Within walking distance of the racecourse there is High Gosforth Park and High Gosforth Park Golf Club, as well as a small selection of eateries and shops. For a broader choice, take public transport or drive into the city centre.
Newcastle Racecourse offers a wide range of horse Racing events throughout the year and it holds both flat - including all-weather - and jump (National Hunt) racing. The most notable fixture at the course is the Northumberland Plate Festival.
Newcastle Racecourse ticket prices will vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the Premier Enclosure offering greater access around the course will be more expensive than those for the Grandstand Enclosure. Similarly, tickets may be more expensive on a bigger raceday like the Northumberland Plate Festival than at one of the smaller fixtures. Traffic around the course can build up at peak times, so early arrival is advised to avoid delays getting into the venue.
