The King Power Stadium is located approximately 2 km south of Leicester's city centre. Parking options are plentiful and it can easily be reached via public transport or on foot.

Below you can find general information on travel and parking for King Power Stadium. Individual events may have additional/restricted services available, and so we recommend clicking through to the event and viewing the Travel & Parking tab for event-specific information.

🅿️ Parking

The King Power has multiple options for event parking:

King Power Car Park A – 50 m (1 min) walk
King Power Car Park B – 50 m (1 min) walk
Raw Dykes Car Park C – 60 m (1 min) walk
Filbert Street Car Park D – 350 m (4 min) walk
Car Park E – 300 m (4 min) walk

There are 68 spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders which must be booked in advance by contacting the club on 0344 815 5000 (Option 4) or by emailing disability@lcfc.co.uk. In addition to the spaces in the Filbert Street Car Park, there are 10 spaces available in Car Park C on Raw Dykes Road for visiting supporters with disabilities.

Independent car parking options can also be found in the surrounding area, including Freemans Common Business Park (LE2 7SQ), which is 1.0 km (12 min) walk from the stadium, and Leicester Tigers Rugby Club (LE2 7TR), which is 650 m (8 min) walk.

Street parking may also be available, although supporters are advised to make note of parking restrictions which may apply on matchday, including resident-only parking areas.

Leicester city council also operates a Park and Ride service into the city centre. Services operate from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday, with buses running every 15 minutes. Parking is free for bus service users at each of the sites, located at Enderby (Leicester Lane, LE19 2AB), Birstall (Loughborough Road, LE4 4NP), and Meynell’s Gorse (Ratby Lane, LE3 3LF). Bus tickets cost £3 each.

🚖️ Taxi

Taxis can pick up and drop off on the roads surrounding the venue, but due to matchday congestion early arrival is recommended.

If the buzz of the city centre doesn’t appeal, consider Clarendon Park, a chilled neighbourhood within walking distance from the city centre known for its trendy independent bars and restaurants.

Of course, there’s always the option to find a quiet hideaway in the Leicestershire countryside. Although it requires a car to get around, it gives you the freedom to explore everything the city has to offer.

About King Power Stadium

The King Power Stadium is a football stadium located in Leicester. It is the home of Leicester City, and some fans affectionately refer to the stadium as Filbert Way.

📜 History

The King Power Stadium opened in 2002, replacing Filbert Street – a ground that had been their base since 1891 – as the Foxes' home. It was known as the Walkers Stadium until 2011, until it was renamed following the takeover of the club led by the King Power Group's founder Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

The stadium was thus given the King Power moniker, a name that has become synonymous with one of the most extraordinary stories in English football – Leicester City's remarkable 5,000-1 Premier League title win in 2016.

The stadium is known for its spectacular playing surface and impressive atmosphere. It has a capacity of 32,261 and has hosted numerous memorable moments, from domestic triumphs in the Premier League and FA Cup to European football nights in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, as well as being one of the host venues of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

💂 Entry Gates

There are 57 turnstiles running anti-clockwise around the stadium starting at the West Stand and ending at the North Stand. Please use the turnstile that corresponds with your ticket.

Accessible entrances for supporters with disabilities are located in the North, East, and South Stands. All entrances into the stadium have step-free access and there are easy slopes along the outer concourses block-paving surface.

🧑‍🦽 Disabled Facilities

Fixed hearing and portable loops are available at the stadium upon request, while free headsets providing an audio description service for fans with visual impairments are also available.

There are 19 disabled toilets located around the stadium in the following areas:

Reception – 8 m from the main reception entrance, located to the left as you enter the reception area (no key required)
First Floor – 45 m from the main reception lift, located at the rear of the Keith Weller Lounge and the Walkers Hall (no key required)
Second Floor Foyer – 8 m from the main reception lift, with level access to the toilet (no key required)
Second Floor Premier Lounge – 35 m from the lift, and located along the second floor corridor, opposite the Premier Lounge (no key required)
Third Floor (Outside Box 10) – 20 m from the main reception lift, and is located along the third floor corridor opposite box 10 (no key required)
Third Floor (Outside Box 33/34) – 40 m from the main reception lift, and is located along the third floor corridor opposite boxes 33 and 34 (no key required)
North Stand (23) – 25 m from the North Stand Lower Platform V50, which is located on the North Stand concourse, to the right after you enter the stand (RADAR key required)

All of the toilets have an emergency alarm in the cubicle, and except for those in the West Stand, all have a dropdown rail on the transfer side. RADAR keys can be obtained from a steward.
