Due to its rural location and the parking available on arrival, Kelso Racecourse is most easily reached by car. The course is 1 mile north of Kelso on the B6461 Ednam Road. Kelso is off the A698 by the A68 & A7 from Edinburgh and the A699 from the West.

Free parking for cars is provided in the grass field to the west of the entrance gates.
Priority parking, close to the entrance, can be arranged for racegoers who have specific mobility issues.
Get closer to the action by reserving a parking space alongside the finishing straight. Parking is available to be booked (charges vary per raceday) together with raceday admission tickets. Whilst free car parking is available in the main car park (where there is no view of the racecourse), the trackside parking area is the only part of the course where you can bring along your own picnic.
Border Buses operate a service between Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Galashiels via Kelso.
The Borders Railway provides opportunities for travel, directly from Edinburgh to Tweedbank via 6 Border towns.
The course's Track2Track service gives you return bus transfer from Tweedbank station to the racecourse for only £10 per person. Kelso Racecourse is a 1.8 km (22 min) walk from the centre of Kelso where you can find a small selection of shops and eateries.
As a tiny Scottish town, accommodation options are few in Kelso, but relatively cheap. Rather than chain hotels, the town boasts traditional guest houses, b&bs, and pub hotels.

Gates open 2 hours before the first race and it is good to arrive early to familiarise yourself with the course.
