Due to its rural location 2 km outside of Market Rasen and 26 km from Lincoln, Market Rasen Racecourse is most easily accessed by car: the course provides ample free car parking. The course offers ample free car parking in the public car parks and this does not need to be rebooked.
You can park in one of the Picnic Car Parks and watch the racing from the comfort of your own car. The Picnic Car Parks are accessible from Willingham Road and Legsby Road at a charge of £5 per car or £10 for minibuses (plus Lawn Enclosure admission per adult occupant). Please note that Willingham Road Picnic Car Park is open on Boxing Day but will then be closed until Easter Monday and will not be open for Jockey Club Live Events. All persons entering a Picnic Car Park will require a valid entrance ticket in addition to a picnic car park ticket. On County Racedays, all vehicles are to park in the main public car parks unless using the Picnic Car Parks. On all other racedays, please follow the relevant signs to be directed to the appropriate car park.
Free preferential parking areas are provided near the entrances for disabled visitors who are holders of the Blue Badge parking label.
If you are looking to book at taxi either to or from Market Rasen Racecourse, it is strongly recommended to do this in advance due to the rural location.
The closest bus stop to Market Rasen Racecourse is at De Aston School where public bus routes 25 and 26 stop. From here, it is a 1.3 km (15 min) walk to the course.
Market Rasen has its own railway station and is approximately 2 km from the racecourse. Trains to Market Rasen from the South go via Lincoln, from the North via Doncaster, and from the West via Barnetby. There are taxis available at the station, or if you prefer, it is a 1.9 km (23 min) walk to the course.

Picnics are only permitted within the Lawn Enclosure & Picnic Car Parks.
Barbeques are permitted in the Picnic Car Parks only and they should be suitably lifted off the grass to avoid any burning.
Please note that racegoers are not permitted to bring alcohol into the racecourse. You can purchase alcoholic beverages at the bars provided.
The gates open to the public 2 hours before the first race. Please use the entry gate indicated by your ticket.
Walk-up tickets will be available for racedays that have not already sold out, unless when specified otherwise.
