Pirelli Stadium is a football stadium located in Burton-upon-Trent, England. It is the home of Burton Albion.

📜 History

The venue opened in 2005, replacing Eton Park – which fell short of Football League requirements – as Albion's home. The land was donated by tyre manufacturer Pirelli in exchange for naming rights to the ground, which was built on the former site of the Pirelli Sports and Social Club.

In 2009, Burton achieved promotion to the Football League. The following year, it hosted one of the highest-scoring games the EFL has ever seen, when Cheltenham Town edged out the Brewers 6-5 in an astonishing 11-goal thriller.

Burton Albion Women took up residence at the ground in 2010, and it also hosted Coventry City matches in 2022 during their time without a home ground. It also hosts Leicester City Women when they're unable to make use of the King Power Stadium.
