Driving is the most popular way to reach the venue because of its rural location and ample car parking. If you’re looking to use public transport, connect at Chichester - which is 60 miles from London - and take a bus or taxi to the racecourse.

Goodwood Racecourse has several options for parking:
Complimentary accessible parking spaces and buggy service are available close to the racecourse entrances at the front of Car Park 5 and 8 for vehicles displaying a valid blue badge. Accessible parking is operated on a first-come, first-served basis on the day.
A Pick-Up and Drop-Off taxi rank for Gordon and Lennox Enclosure guests is located at the East Entrance next to the Bus Terminus, just off Selhurst Park Road.
Taxis for Richmond Enclosure guests are located at the West Entrance, off Kennel Hill Road.

The 900 bus service operates from Chichester Train Station (North Car Park) to the racecourse each raceday. It departs 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, from 10:15 until 13:15. The last return journey from the racecourse will be 30 minutes following the last race.
The bus terminus is 40 m (1 min) walk to East/Lennox Entrance.
Chichester is on the steeper side when it comes to accommodation prices. However, the city centre has both luxury and budget hotels, and the surrounding areas offer everything from chic Airbnb’s to cute cottages.
Goodwood has a wide range of food and drink concessions on offer in all enclosures, including the Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Seafood Bar and Lawn and many fantastic bars and restaurants. Food and drink purchased at the racecourse is allowed in all the stands, but please ensure all waste is disposed of in the bins provided.
Food and soft drinks from outside the course may be brought into the Lennox Enclosure, but not the Richmond or Gordon Enclosures. Cans and plastic bottles are allowed but no glass is permitted. Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into any enclosure. Guests in the Richmond Enclosure are entitled to purchase food and drink in the Gordon Enclosure and return with it to the Richmond Enclosure. Food may be consumed anywhere except the Champagne Lawn in the Richmond Enclosure or any restaurants in either enclosure.
Racegoers can enjoy a picnic in the car park before entering the venue provided they stay within the limits of the car parking space. Please note parasols, sunshades, and umbrellas are not permitted to hang over the running rails, nor are gazebos and/or BBQs allowed in any of the car parks.

As Goodwood Racecourse is located in a rural area, it is not suitable to walk to the venue, but racegoers should instead utilise public transport links or their own car.

You will receive a badge with your ticket and this should be displayed prominently somewhere on your person so that staff can identify the enclosure you have access to.

Toilet facilities are located throughout the racecourse in all enclosures.
Goodwood Racecourse hosts a range of horse Racing events during the UK flat racing season which runs from May to October. The racecourse's most famous event is Goodwood Festival, affectionately known as Glorious Goodwood.
Goodwood Racecourse ticket prices vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the most premium public enclosure, the Gordon Enclosure offering greater access around the course will be more expensive than those for the family-friendly Lennox Enclosure. Similarly, Gordon Enclosure tickets may be more expensive on a Goodwood Festival raceday than at one of the smaller fixtures. It is sometimes possible to buy tickets at Goodwood Racecourse on the day of the event. However, this is subject to availability on the day and you risk not being able to enter.
