The Huskies are the football team of the University of Connecticut (UConn) in East Hartford. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play as an independent team, without membership of a conference.
UConn has won 25 conference titles, but almost all of these date from before the Huskies became a Division I-A team in 2002. The team maintains a rivalry with the UMass Minutemen.
