Overview
- ⏱️5 daysApproximate duration
The Tour de Suisse is an annual road cycling stage race with riders competing over 5 days between 17-21 June 2026.
Along with the Critérium du Dauphiné, it is considered a challenging preparation race for the Tour de France, which is only a few weeks after the end of the Tour de Suisse. The race was first held in 1933 and has developed over its history in terms of timing and duration. Like the Tour de France and the Dauphiné, the Tour de Suisse has mountainous stages with long arduous climbs in the Swiss Alps suiting the hardy climbing specialists and at least one individual time trial to suit sprinters. Since 2011, the event has been considered part of the UCI World Tour, cycling's highest level of professional races.
From 2026, the event has been reduced from 8-10 days to a 5-day event, with a separate men's and women's stage each day.
Tour de Suisse Tickets
The race takes place over public roads and so no entry ticket is required to watch the cyclists; simply choose your spot along the route and get there in plenty of time before road closures to cheer them on. Hospitality tickets are available in some locations, which are located along the starting and final parts of the day's route.
You can find the full details of the route on the Tour de Suisse website.
