The London International Horse Show is a fantastic entertaining multi-day show in the sport of equestrian that is held annually in London, UK. It is currently hosted by ExCeL in the capital's east end.
The first show in its current format was held in 1907 at Olympia which is its true home – hence the event often being referred to as the Olympia London International Horse Show – and has become one of the most prestigious events in the equestrian calendar. From 2021, the event was moved to ExCeL London as the iconic Olympia venue was undergoing redevelopment.
The spectacular display of horsemanship and competition is the only show in the UK to host all 3 FEI World Cup Qualifiers in Dressage, Show Jumping, and Driving. Each performance consists of an equestrian competition along with a variety of incredible displays from around the world. Alongside the shopping village and the food and drink areas, there really is something for everyone at this show as we get into the festive spirit.
The London International Horse Show Tickets
At The London International Horse Show, there are 2 arenas: The International Arena and The London Arena. All tickets include access to the Shopping Village all day and also to the Warm-Up Ring viewing area. You can purchase a ticket just for the Shopping Village. There is also a selection of hospitality on offer such as the fabulous Phoenix Club.
The International Arena
Tickets can be purchased for the morning, afternoon, and evening (except for the final day) performances on each day. You can also purchase a season ticket for the entire event. Seating for morning sessions is at a single price bracket. Seating for afternoon and evening sessions is separated into different price brackets depending on the views of the action in the main arena:
- Top Price – in the front blocks and back middle block of the long (north & south) sides. They are larger seats with more leg-room and have padded seats. These tickets also include access to the Champagne Taittinger Bar and Brasserie
- Second Price – in the side and back blocks along the long sides (north & south sides) and the seats at the east end. They are larger seats with more leg-room
- Third Price – at both sides of the short (east & west) ends. They are mid-range tickets with slightly smaller seats
- Fourth Price – in the corners. The view is not restricted, but you do sit at an angle to the arena and they are slightly smaller seats
- Limited View – in various places around the arena. Something will be obscuring the view, usually a handrail for the seating, but you can see the majority of the arena
- Wheelchair/Ambulant – on the wheelchair platform at the east end (in front of blocks 10, 11, and 12). All wheelchair tickets automatically include a complimentary carer ticket (unlike walking and other disabled tickets, a carers ticket for the wheelchair platform DOES NOT need to be purchased)
The London Arena
Visitors can purchase allocated seats for The London Arena, which are valid for the whole performance which generally lasts throughout the day. There is a Wheelchair Area and Accessible Seating. The London Arena can be viewed from a standing position by all ticket holders (including International Arena ticket holders and Shopping Only ticket holders).
VIP tickets – which grant the best views of the action in The London Arena and provide exclusive access to a VIP viewing area and bar – are also available.
