Children aged 17 and under go free to the races when accompanied by an adult (some exclusions apply for Festival fixtures and Live After Racing events). You will need to select a free child ticket when making a booking.
Students with valid ID receive a discount on select grandstand tickets. A valid Student ID card is required.
There are no discounted tickets for senior citizens and so a full-price ticket must be purchased.
Carers will receive free admission to the racecourse when accompanying a paying disabled guest. Carer tickets can be collected from the racecourse office on the fixture when proof of disability is provided (e.g. a Blue Badge (with accompanying photo ID), Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment or signed letter from GP (with accompanying photo ID)). Please contact the racecourse team at least 24 hours in advance with your name and details of the fixture you wish to attend to arrange these tickets. Subject to availability.

There is ample free parking available onsite for all raceday and event guests. Owners, trainers, and jockeys have a dedicated car park, opposite the main entrance.
Disabled parking is also located in close proximity to the racecourse entrance.
A taxi from Newcastle City Centre/Newcastle Central Station will cost approximately £10.
Numbers 43 and 44 leave from Haymarket Bus Station in Newcastle City Centre every few minutes and arrive at a stop just outside the racecourse road entrance.
There is a free shuttle bus service on Saturday racedays that runs from Four Lane Ends & Regent Centre Metro Stations to the racecourse, beginning an hour and a half before racing running till the first race time, and then returns from the racecourse to the same metro stations directly after racing.
Newcastle Central Station is the closest main line station, and it's approximately 15 minutes and £10 to the racecourse by taxi. Regent Centre and Four Lane Ends Metro Stations are situated 2 miles from the racecourse and a shuttle bus operates Saturday fixtures only.

Within walking distance of the racecourse there is High Gosforth Park and High Gosforth Park Golf Club, as well as a small selection of eateries and shops. For a broader choice, take public transport or drive into the city centre.
Newcastle is a pretty affordable city to visit, meaning it’s easy to find cheap and cheerful accommodation if that’s what you prefer. However, as Newcastle is not a glamorous city, don’t expect to find too many high-end hotels.
