Carouge, an Italian influenced suburb on the south bank of the Arve River, is perhaps Geneva’s trendiest and most romantic neighbourhood. Creatives will love the independent, artisanal, and vintage shops while upscale shoppers will love its high-end boutiques.

The city’s most affordable accommodation is located near to the airport, which is still only a 10-minute train ride away from the lake and Geneva’s Old Town.
