About Mestalla Stadium

Mestalla Stadium (known in Spanish as Estadio de Mestalla) is a football stadium located in Valencia, Spain. It is the home ground of Valencia Club de Fútbol.

Opened in May 1923, the stadium now has a capacity of just under 49,500 and is the 8th largest stadium in Spain. The Mestalla irrigation canal - which was once outside the stadium's south stand and fans had to jump over it in order to reach the ground - is the source of the stadium's name. The stadium's North Stand is known for its extremely steep section.

🍔 Food & Drink

Food and drink are permitted to be brought into the stadium provided that:

Drinks are non-alcoholic and must be in a plastic container of less than 500ml and without a cap. In no case will access with cans or glass containers be allowed
Food is not inside tupperware. In addition, if you bring fruit, it must be peeled and chopped before entering the stadium

There are concession stands within the stadium where you can purchase refreshments.

💂 Entry Gates

You can bring a bag with you as long as it is not larger than 30 cm x 40 cm. These bags may be searched by security on entry into the stadium. Please do not bring strollers or pushchairs.

The stadium has a strict no re-entry policy.
