Visiting Seoul
With a population almost twice as big as London’s, and one of the five biggest economies in the world, Seoul is undoubtedly a bucket-list city. Up until 1897, this powerhouse of a city was home to Korea’s Joseon dynasty. Their legacy remains with the Five Great Palaces, built between the 13 and 1500s, which have become some of the country’s finest examples of Korean art, history, and culture. Whilst age-old palaces and hanoks still stand proudly in Seoul, they are, quite literally, overshadowed by streets of skyscrapers. Between them, you’ll find futuristic shopping malls, authentic Korean restaurants, plenty of teahouses, some of Asia’s finest antique stores, and much more to inspire and entertain you.
