Children aged 17 years and under are admitted free on all racedays at York Racecourse. Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by an adult into all public areas with a maximum of 2 children per adult.

There are discounted tickets available for certain enclosures at the racecourse for racegoers aged 18 to 22 years. Those requesting these concessions must provide formal supporting documentation: a UK driving license, government-issued ID card, or passport are acceptable.

There are no discounted tickets for students and so a full-price ticket must be purchased.

There are discounted tickets available for certain enclosures at the racecourse for senior racegoers aged 65 and over. Those requesting these concessions must provide formal supporting documentation: a UK driving license, government-issued ID card, or passport are acceptable.

There are no discounted tickets for members of the military and so a full-price ticket must be purchased.

• The County Stand has a raised-viewing platform for approximately 10 wheelchairs in front of the County Stand Lawn. There are specific disabled viewing areas on the first and second-floor balconies of the Ebor Stand and a smaller platform overlooking the Parade Ring.
• In the Grandstand and Paddock, the Knavesmire Stand has disabled viewing facilities from a glass-fronted terrace on the first mezzanine floor. Whilst the Bustardthorpe Grandstand has stepped terracing with front access only, there is an ample area of level lawn to the front, by the running rail
• In the Clocktower Enclosure, there is an open grassed enclosure that slopes down towards the running rail. It is possible to view the racing from an almost continuous vantage area which includes the Winning Post
• Parties comprising of one racegoer who needs physical assistance to get around the course and an accompanying carer will only be charged for a single admission. This must be done at least 5 days in advance of the raceday you are wishing to attend

Junior tickets are available for young people aged 18–22.
