Roberto Bautista Agut is a Spanish tennis player, born in Castellón de la Plana in 1988.
He began playing tennis when he was 5, and grew-up idolising fellow Spaniards Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya. As a child, Bautista Agut was also a highly able footballer, and represented the youth teams of local club Villareal, before focusing on tennis full-time.
After more than 50 matches as a junior, Bautista Agut debuted on the ATP tour in 2009, and reached his first Grand Slam main draw 3 years later, at the Australian Open. Later that year, the Spaniard entered the ATP singles top-100, and in early 2013 he reached his first ATP singles final.
The 2014 season proved to be a pivotal one in Bautista Agut's career: throughout the year he defeated a top-10 player for the first time, reached the semifinals of the Madrid Open, won his first 2 singles titles, was voted the ATP's most improved player, and broke into the top-20 for the first time. Bautista Agut reached his first ATP Masters 1000-level final in 2016, in Shanghai, having defeated Novak Djokovic on his way.
In 2019, the Spaniard recorded his best-ever Grand Slam performance, when he reached the semifinals of Wimbledon. Due to his preference for hard and clay court surfaces, this stellar run came as a surprise to many, not least the player himself; having scheduled his stag party for the final days of the tournament, Bautista Agut had to move the celebration at the last minute - but members of his wedding party were lucky enough to watch him play on centre court! Due in part to his performances at Wimbledon, Bautista Agut recorded a career-high ranking of number 9, in the 2019 season.
Bautista Agut has since continued to be a relatively consistent performer. In early 2022 he collected both his 10th ATP tour title, and his 350th career match win. He is an all-court player, who is particularly skilled at playing a counter-attacking game, turning defence into attack via his nimble movement and consistent shot-making. Bautista Agut's forehand is his best shot.

Over all it was a good experience.
It would have helped to have to entry points for Tribuna 3.
Also to have an alignment between the time granting acces during breaks and the time the players where ready, the people where still standing and the game was resumed.

It was’t announce the hour for sngle final , after that was pospone.
Only criticism is ..when coming from the bottom end of Stanley Street and have seats in the Redwood Stand, we should not have to walk all the way up the hill to the Main entrance, but should be allowed to enter lower down Stanley Street near the Admin. Entrance.
What an amazing experience...every aspect beautifully presented. Volunteers super helpful and friendly...was my 70th birthday...what a gift. Keep it up. We'll be back
The organisers did a fantastic job to get tennis of this quality to NZ and turn Stanley Street into a wonderful environment for the duration.
