Łódź is represented by two I Liga teams, Widzew Łódź which plays its home games at Stadion Milan Club Polonia Łódź and ŁKS Łódź which plays its home games at Stadion Miejski im. Władysława Króla.

Łódź is a historic city situated just a 1.5-hour drive from Warsaw in central Poland that found exceptional wealth during the industrial revolution from its textile industry. While textile production has now ceased in the city, it has left behind an exemplary industrial urban complex that has become an architectual monument.
