The Phoenix Open is a professional men's golf tournament, part of the PGA Tour. It was inaugurated in 1932 as the Arizona Open, and after being held on and off in its early years it has been a staple on the Tour since 1944. Following decades of wandering between different courses, the Phoenix Open made a permanent move to TPC Scottsdale’s iconic Stadium Course in 1987.
Famous for its raucous atmosphere, it is known as “The Greatest Show on Grass” and is the PGA Tour's most popular event, setting records as the most well-attended event in all of golf. Spectators flock to the 20,000-seat grandstand surrounding the par-3 16th hole, known as "The Coliseum," where the passionate atmosphere can be most keenly felt, particularly when a player scores a hole-in-one.
The 2026 edition was won by Chris Gotterup.
