The Rebels are the football team of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, commonly known as Ole Miss. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Ole Miss has won 6 SEC titles and is the oldest football team in state of Mississippi. The fiercest rivalry for fans is with Mississippi State, and the teams play each other every year in the final game of the season, a matchup known as "the Battle for the Golden Egg" or "the Egg Bowl".
