The NW Arkansas Championship is a professional women’s golf tournament, part of the LPGA Tour. Held annually at the Pinnacle Country Club, it was established in 2007.
Stacy Lewis – then an amateur golfer and a student at the University of Arkansas – was the unofficial winner of the inaugural competition; only 1 round was completed due to weather delays, and 36 holes must be completed for an LPGA event to qualify as official. Lewis won the competition again as a professional in 2014 to the delight of the crowd.
The event is home to the Gatorade Loudest Hole on Tour – players traditionally throw objects into the crowd at the 17th hole to get the fans fired up – so if you want to experience a raucous atmosphere not typically found at golf events, then this is the one for you!
Jasmine Suwannapura earned her first LPGA Tour victory in 5 years when she holed out for an eagle to defeat Lucy Li in a playoff in the 2024 edition of the tournament.
