Based at Intility Arena, Vålerenga Fotball is Oslo’s Norwegian association league football club, and one of the most successful clubs in the country. The club is part of the Vålerenga IF, a multi-sport club also including Vålerenga Ishockey, Norway’s most successful ice hockey club, the Vålerenga Trolls American football club, and the Vålerenga Sjakklubb, of which the chess world champion, Magnus Carlsen, is a member.
The city also holds the annual Bislett Games at the Bislett Stadium, where a number of national track and field competitions are held.
