Centrum, the commercial hub of Tilburg and centre of the city, may be compact, but it is where the best of its shopping and nightlife can be found. From here, it’s easy to explore many of the city’s highlights including Cinnacitti.
For the best of Tilburg’s culture, stay in Oud Noord, which is immediately north of Centrum. Here, you’ll find the city’s top museums like the Du Pont contemporary art museum and the TextielMuseum.
To see Tilburg’s artistic side, check out Spoorzone, a small industrial neighbourhood on the edge of Centrum. Creatives have joined forces to transform the area into a playground for the alternative with independent shops, cafes, and entertainment venues.
West Tilburg is home to Tilburg University and its large student population, meaning it is cool, laid-back, and has a number of indie bars and eateries.
Families might like the quietude and community atmosphere of Oud-Zuid Tilburg, which skirts the southern half of Centrum. While it’s just a few minutes from the city centre on foot, it feels like it’s located in a remote village.
Although there are trams and buses to transport you around Tilburg, why not travel by bike as the locals do?
