The All-Star Game features 24 of the NBA’s star players divided into 2 teams; the players are separated into Eastern and Western Conference teams. The starting line-ups (5 players for each team) are voted for by a combination of fans, current players and select members of the media, while the reserves (7 for each team) are voted for by the NBA’s head coaches, who cannot vote for their own players.
The 2 teams compete over 4 standard 12-minute quarters, and the team with the most points at the end wins. The winner of each quarter will win money for their chosen charity.
The other event formats over the course of the NBA All-Star Weekend are as follows:
The 2024 NBA All-Star takes place from 16-18 February. The events are primarily split between Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, while the NBA Crossover fan event takes place at Indiana Convention Center.
NBA All-Star Game tickets vary in price and change over time, but fans can often expect to pay in excess of $1000 for even the cheapest tickets to this event.
NBA All-Star Game tickets are typically in high demand each year as fans clamour to see their favourite NBA stars team up. As such, prices can often be expensive, with fans prepared to spend well above face value to secure their seat.
Finding cheap tickets can be difficult, but Koobit compares prices from official and secondary ticket suppliers from across the marketplace to help you find the lowest prices possible.
Courtside seating offers fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to sit with their shoes on the hardwood, just a matter of feet from their favourite stars like LeBron James or Steph Curry. Courtside tickets for NBA games can therefore be very expensive, and that is equally true for the NBA All-Star Game.
Courtside seats are often snapped up quickly, but if you do find them available you can easily expect to pay $10,000 or more.
The dates and primary venue for the NBA All-Star Weekend are typically announced well in advance (occasionally several years in advance in the case of the venue), allowing fans to book accommodation early to ensure they don't find themselves stuck without somewhere to stay.
Tickets to the different events that comprise the All-Star Weekend often go on sale at different times, so it is advisable to check back frequently in the months prior to avoid missing out on the tickets you're seeking.
A variety of food and beverages are available to purchase from concessions points located throughout the venue. A frictionless grab-and-go experience is available for all concessions.
Fans may not bring in outside food or beverages, but water bottle refill stations will be available throughout the Intuit Dome for fans to fill up an empty water bottle (smaller than a quart). Please note, the bottle will need to be empty before you leave the premises.
The main entrance is located on the northwest side of the building on the corner of Century Blvd and Prairie Ave. Doors typically open 1 hour prior to the event starting.
The venue features more than 1,100 toilets and urinals – approximately 3 times the NBA average – to minimise queueing and get fans back to their seats quicker.
All entrances and restrooms at Intuit Dome are accessible. Accessibility enquiries at Intuit Dome should be directed to the Answers Portal at theanswersportal@intuitdome.com.

Service Animals
Trained service animals are welcome inside Intuit Dome, provided they remain on a leash, tether, or in a harness at all times unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the person’s disability prevents the use of these devices. A fan whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Intuit Dome fans or team members, may be asked to escort the animal(s) off the premises. During their visit, the service animal(s) should sit in the fan’s lap, or under their seat. If the animal does not fit on a lap or under the seat, Intuit Dome fans should purchase tickets in the wheelchair accessible rows, as same day ticket exchange for accessible seating is very limited and may not be available.
