Melbourne Vixens are a netball team based in Melbourne, Australia. They play in Suncorp Super Netball.
Formed in 2007, the Vixens are the result of the merging of Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Kestrels, both of whom played in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy league. The teams were combined by Netball Victoria in preparation for the ANZ Championship, which began in 2008. Vixens won 2 premierships in the ANZ era, defeating Adelaide Thunderbirds in the Grand Final in 2009 and Queensland Firebirds in 2014.
When the ANZ Championship was disbanded and Suncorp Super Netball was formed as a new Australian netball league in 2016, Vixens were included as a representative of Netball Victoria. In 2020, the team won the premiership and the Grand Final, defeating West Coast Fever to claim the championship. 2021 was a much more difficult year, and Vixens finished last in the league for the first time in their history.
Vixens play their home games in the John Cain Arena within Melbourne Park. They are coached by Simone McKinnis and the main team colours are navy blue and green.
