Ticket Pricing: On the Steeper Side
Firstly, the ticket prices were quite steep. For a sport that has a massive following in Malaysia, more accessible pricing would have encouraged a larger turnout and made the event more inclusive for all badminton enthusiasts.
Exit Woes: A Single Door Dilemma
Post-match, attendees faced a significant inconvenience. The decision to open only one exit door led to a bottleneck situation, with crowds squeezing through a single point. This not only caused discomfort but also raised safety concerns. Efficient crowd management is crucial, and this was a clear oversight.
Mysterious Closure of Sections 317 - 319
A puzzling aspect was the closure of sections 317 to 319. Despite being closed, there were reports of tickets for these sections being sold, leading to speculations of unfair practices. Transparency in ticketing is key to maintaining trust among the public, and this incident certainly raised eyebrows.
Comparisons with PMO22: A Step Down in Experience
When compared to PMO22, this year's event seemed to have taken a step back, especially in terms of stage design and player-centric features. PMO22's stage was not only higher but also equipped with a lift, and the players' names were prominently displayed on a large screen, adding to the grandeur and spectator experience. These elements were sorely missed this time around.
Last-Minute Layout Changes: Unfair and Disconcerting
Lastly, the last-minute changes to the layout were a significant letdown. Such alterations can disrupt plans for spectators/fans, leading to an unfair experience for those who had strategized and planned based on the original layout.
In Conclusion
While the Malaysia Open remains a highlight for badminton fans, the organization of this year's event left several attendees feeling shortchanged. It's crucial for future events to address these issues, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through the doors, celebrating the spirit of badminton in Malaysia.
Awesome
Hope to have less hours break in between as it has wasted a lot of times. Morning session only able to view 3 matches then followed by a very long break. After all, it is tough for audience like me that unable to sit until all the matches finished. Hence, long break in between is really unnecessary and wasting time
Overall okay, tapi saya harap tempat superfans bagi la kitaorg dapat tangkap gambar dgn player. Sebab kadang2 bila player habis game dorang terus gerak. Kitaorg bayar mahal dkt superfans tp tak dpt apa2.
Need more Malaysian food. Settle Booth not supposed to blocked the screen.Only 1 exit, very dangerous it anything happens. Mesra Coffee taste is not consistent. Fans should not clap the clapper during smash, we want to hear the shuttle sound🤬
Super Fan seating not meeting to expectations has the seat eg A & B same height hence obstructing the view.
TAHUN NIE KURANG SIKIT DARI TAHUN LEPAS ..
the venue was very comfortable and the crowd was amazing
Keep it up this way especially the tickets purchase system and number seating.
Need to enter using main entrance but what is stated on ticket is side entrance & apparently side entrance only for reentrance. Although the seat is numbered but some people sat on my seat without guilty plus no staff check it properly. The funny part is most of people who buys ticket earlier gets back seat and I don’t know how they arrange it? Overall it’s just average and I hope organiser can give the audience bracelet to reenter the venue like other country did.
The price quite expensive
The event is very good and organizer doing well. One thing I want to comment is about sitting arrangement. Make sure people can see clearly the court even we pay the cheaper ticket. Especially at Upper A.. we paid RM100 for Final but we cannot see clearly the court & player, only see the steel & spotlight. hopefully after this you can improve the court setting so everyone can satisfied. Overall i am happy and enjoyed with the events. Hopefully can see you next year. Thanks
I hope one day all the player make them easyly to meet the fans to take a photo with them..
Very interesting pwrformance
The tickets for PMO2023 were way TOO EXPENSIVE. I’m trying not to be rude to the management of this event. I have to say, as a student, the price is very unfriendly. Is the management expecting only rich people/senior citizens going?? We just want to show support to our Malaysia players, as well as foreign players. To solve this issue, I may provide some suggestions that your team can take note of. Sort out promotional price for students/senior citizens/6yo or below children. If this suggestion sounds not realistic in your planning, at least AT LEAST have better price for Malaysians supporters, compared to the foreign supporters. How could PMO2023 ridiculously get money from audience, who just want to support their favourite Malaysian players? RIDICULOUS! (Fun fact: India open 2023 is opened for FREE ADMISSION) Hopefully the upcoming tournaments in Malaysia (Malaysia Master 2023/Malaysia Open 2024) will be developed with more improvement. One word says all: DISAPPOINTED
Tickets are so super duper expensive. So the fans experience compare to last year dimmed. So many empty seats. The carpet at the sides of the court always got torn and they dare to mention it’s S1000 with higher price. What a shame!
Tickets were too pricey and could not select seat number. Poor control during entrance, I lost my umbrella because of it. Took photo of my umbrella and staff could not find mine on the table. Some of the staff were quite rude too. Unnecessary performances for the final day. People paid to see badminton match and players, not bunch of local performers. Poor crowd control at shops/booths. PMO2023 did some improvements, but PMO2022 was better and more exciting. Both events had no Malaysian representatives at Final round, but PMO2022 had more crowd and loud cheer. Please revise the ticket price and crowd management for 2024.
Good experience to see pmo2023 i will become on march which is master
Some of the railing is loose. Dangerous for people to just use it. Spotlight frame was blocking the view of those sitting far above. Toilets was not sufficient and causes long queue.
It is a disappointed tickets selling method for this events as the buyer unable to select the seat number they wish. I purchased the super fans ticket for 2 days (last 16 and quarter final) and the seat number generated by computer is far from court no. 1 and 2 (it is in front of court no.3).
The organiser should amend the ticket selling system by allowing the buyer to select the seat like cinema.
It should be first come first serve basis to select the best and nice seat for the audience.
