Loughborough Lightning is an English semi-professional netball team based at Loughborough University in Loughborough, Leicestershire. Established in 2005, they were founder members of the Vitality Netball Superleague.
The netball team is one of three women's sports teams at Loughborough University that use the name Loughborough Lightning, along with the women's cricket team and the women's rugby union team.
Although yet to win a Superleague title, Loughborough Lightning won the inaugural British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship in 2017.
Typically sporting a purple uniform, the team consist of a formidable roster of female athletes from all over the world.
