Kent County Cricket Club is a men's cricket team representing the historic county of Kent, UK. The team plays its home games at the Spitfire Ground in Canterbury.
📜 Kent CCC History
Organised cricket in Kent dates back to the early 1700s, however, Kent County Cricket Club was formed in 1870, 2 decades before the inception of the County Championship. In the limited-overs form of the game, Kent CCC are known as Kent Spitfires.
In terms of honors, Kent's record includes 6 solo County Championship titles and one shared title, beginning with the club's first triumph in 1906. More recently, Kent has enjoyed major success in shorter forms of the game, winning 3 One-Day Cups and 2 T20 Blasts.
Kent’s contribution to English cricket extends beyond their successes on the field as the club is well-known for launching the careers of numerous England stars, including Rob Key, Joe Denly, and Zak Crawley.
