The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the NFL's AFC West division, and play their home games at Arrowhead Stadium.

Originally known as the Dallas Texans, the Chiefs joined the American Football League in 1960. The team moved to Kansas City in spring 1963 and adopted their current nickname.
The Chiefs have enjoyed some of their most successful seasons in recent times and are one of the most dominant teams of the 2020s. Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and guided by Head Coach Andy Reid, the franchise clinched Super Bowl titles in 2019, 2022, and 2023, adding to their first championship won way back in 1969.
