The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Raiders compete in the NFL's AFC West division, and play their home games at Allegiant Stadium.
Las Vegas Raiders History
Founded in 1960 and initially based in Oakland, California, the Raiders played their first regular-season game in the same year. Under the leadership of Hall of Fame owner and coach Al Davis, the team found success in the late 1960s and beyond. Positive results continued into the 1970s and 1980s, highlighted by 3 Super Bowl victories in 1977, 1981, and 1984.
The Raiders have undergone several relocations through the years, moving from Oakland to Los Angeles, back to Oakland, and most recently, in 2020, to their current home of Las Vegas. The latest Raiders era is now underway as the franchise looks to build a new legacy in Sin City.
