The schedule for John Isner includes events in the ATP 250, ATP 500, ATP Masters 1000 & Grand Slams.
John Isner is an American tennis player, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1985. Isner began playing tennis at 11, and soon began training seriously, at a tennis academy in Florida.
Isner made an instant impression on the ATP tour, reaching the 2007 Citi Open final in one of the first tournament appearances of his professional career. The American dispatched of 4 top-100 players on his way to the final, resulting in a meteoric rise in his singles ranking; Isner finished the year just outside the world's top-100.
In 2010, having climbed even further up the ATP rankings, Isner was drawn against Frenchman Nicolas Mahut in the first round of Wimbledon, in what was widely considered an unremarkable match-up. The match was anything but ordinary: it took 3 days to finish, with Isner winning the fifth and final set 70 games to 68. It is currently the longest match in tennis history. Isner is arguably best remembered for this match, but his best Wimbledon showing - and his best ever Grand Slam performance - came in 2018, when he reached the semifinals.
John Isner is famous for his serve: it is consistently accurate and incredibly fast, and makes full use of his tall frame. He and Ivo Karlović are the only 2 male players to have served over 13,000 career aces; Isner achieved the feat in approximately 700 matches. Along with his feared serve, Isner is also noted as having a powerful forehand.

Good tennis; glad they're moving the event to February in 2024. Very hot even with matches starting at 5:30 pm. Main stadium is nice, if somewhat "impermanent" - very rickety; in Section 200, you could feel it every time someone walked around. The "My Cashless" app that you have to install in order to make food/beverage purchases is a cumbersome process; hopefully I will be able to get a refund on the unused portion of the amount I set aside to make purchases.
The Atlanta Open needs shade for all audience members. They would sell a lot more tickets. Also, they definitely need more water stations in different locations to refill bottles, especially in this extreme heat.
this was my first time to this event and I loved it...even the sun came out for the entire day!! My only comment is regarding the absolute lack of anywhere to sit outside the stadiums. You have so many wonderful food vendors, but absolutely no where to sit to enjoy it!! How odd...I've been to all of the other 4 majors plus the BNP Paribas in Palm Springs, and all of those venues offer wonderful seating options...how come??
I forgot to mention that the signage is atrocious, as there is literally no way to find your seat without multiple attempts and asking and even then, very hard to know which door to enter.
Very easy to get to via the metro, especially as a solo visitor.
Would definitely attend again my only concern is not being able to bring in water or access to a water fountain.
Fantastic experience. Very well organized
