Dublin is a hub of Irish sporting events, with the city being home to top-end football clubs Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, St. Patrick's Athletic, and Bohemian. Rugby club Leinster calls Dublin home as do scores of hurling & Gaelic football teams.

Visiting Dublin
By far Ireland's largest and most lively city, Dublin is home to around one-third of the nation's population and has nearly the same amount of cosy, snug-filled pubs as it does citizens. At first glance, the city can feel more modern than historic, but rest assured that for every stainless steel Spire of Dublin or construction crane you come across, there is an elegant Georgian edifice, ancient Dublin Castle, or centuries-old Trinity College, waiting around the corner. Historically home to writers and revolutionaries, Dublin has always been an outward-looking place and today it offers travellers a true taste of Ireland with a dash of international flavour.
A very enjoyable event despite the weather disruption.
