Football Club Internazionale Milano, more commonly known as Internazionale or simply Inter Milan, is an Italian professional football club based in Milan and currently playing in the country's top tier Serie A. The club plays home matches at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro).
📜 Inter Milan History
The club was founded in 1908 after a split from the Milan Cricket and Football Club, who would become Inter’s long-time rivals AC Milan. The club’s name comes from its founding members’ desire to welcome foreign players as well as Italians into the team. Inter established themselves among Europe’s elite during the 1960s thanks to the tactical innovations of manager Helenio Herrera, and they are one of Italy’s most successful teams. In 2010, they became the first Italian club to win the treble – Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, and the Coppa Italia – and in 2021 they ended Juventus’ 9-year streak of winning the Serie A title.
