The course was great, but there was a lot that wasn't. There was no accommodations for any one with a handicap. The food in the BMW pavilion was the worst. We stayed in the BMW pavilion on the 15th green and we had a perfect view. of that green. We have attended the last 4 in the Chicago area and this one ranked the worst.
Great weather and a beautiful course, if hilly. Two things were a bit of a let down. Food trucks were limited and one actually ran out of food before lunchtime was over. A legible map of the course would have been useful. The one provided was virtually impossible to read.

Course map was good and the scores/order of players was clear and very helpful.
Very nice atmosphere and lovely spots to sit along the way.
Refreshment outlets were good too. ( I only purchased 2 tins of wine)
Was lucky enough to get a seat at the 18th hole for the end of the game and my slight criticism was the scoreboard was slow to update.
All the staff I met were delightful!
It was well organised and we Enjoyed our visit to the Freed sponsored golf tournament. It was good to be able to get close to the lady professional golfers and watch how they move around the course.
Toilets could be supplied at far end of course out near the holes by the railway line
A very good event but the following would improve the spectator experience:
1. Score boards for each game, or, if that is not practicable, for as many games as possible.
2. Spectator stands.
3. More information on-line - e.g. the tournament brochure wasn't available until day 3 (or at least I could not find it before then). Also a downloadable map of the course and the facilities would have been VERY useful.
A well organised event. A great relaxed atmosphere. My only slight and very slight criticism is that there was not much to the Fanzone this year compared to last. Excellent admission prices and parking was easy. All in all a great experience.
No wonder admission is so cheap for this second rate tournament, sat at 18th and no information on players on the green or their scores, very poor catering and bar facilities not a sandwich or healthy food in sight just pizza and burgers. Lasted 2 hours before giving up and going home luckily we didn’t have far to travel. Certainly won’t be going next year.
Excellent venue and course.
The event was really well planned. Plenty of volunteers willing to help and plenty of facilities so no waiting for anything. To be surrounded by spectators of all ages who understood the game and were totally respectful to the players was a joy.

Excellent day, venue not quite as good for spectators as others but overall very enjoyable.
Aside from the bad weather some of the golf was amazing. But for visitor there was not enough food stands or undercover areas. The toilet facilities were insufficient (few and far between). Also they were unisex toilets which my wife found very unhygienic
Parking in the long grass was really bad.

A Bar !!! burger van, coffee van and an ice cream van not what you would call a variety of food.
Course was good. Weather could not be helped. Some of catering (especially food) seemed over priced. Staff at Information Desk seemed curt and unwelcoming - but that was the exception.
Bought tickets for my husbands Christmas present. We had a great three days!
The sign posting for cars travelling via the advised junction 38 (Margam) was very poor. I recall one sign post as you drove up the junction 38 slip road and nothing further. Whether we missed a sign or not I don't know but they were very infrequent in number. Thank goodness we are familiar with the local geography and ended up at the main entrance to them be directed back and to look for car park sign posts 4 & 5.
Additional coffee outlets in the village may be a good idea, as in the morning this was where the main queue was.
Apart from the above two points we had a fantastic day.
Staff all helpful and smiling. Great views and the noise of the sea. Some great golf and also seeing some struggle, reminding me golf is a hard game at times.
Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the event and the smaller crowd numbers as opposed to the number at Royal Liverpool the previous week.
A good course for a Senior Open, I look forward to it return ing to the venue.

An excellent day on the friday....weather perfect.Thousands of people so food stations were a real problem and trying to get in and out of the stands was also a slow progress but once in the stand stay where you are!!
Must mention the park and ride.a complete shambles. Parked in the North car park walked 10 mins to a bus which took us....... not to the entrance gate as expected but over 1km away.Had to walk this never ending distance!!! Then had to get back and que for the bus and to get out of the stupid car park. Would NOT reccommend this to anyone
