🅿️ Parking

There are no parking facilities at the stadium on match days (except for free accessible parking in P4). There is a Park & Ride service in Hemelinger Hafen from around 90 minutes before the start of the game.

Weserstadion Hotels & Accommodation

While Bremen is a small city with little tourism compared to major cities like Berlin and Hamburg, its somewhat sophisticated and refined edge makes it more expensive to visit than you might think. But while you’re spoilt for choice with luxury hotels, there are equally plenty of more affordable options too.

📍 Where To Stay

To get the full Bremen experience, stay in Mitte the commercial centre of the city. With everything from stylish bars and shops to exciting landmarks and cultural attractions, it provides some of the cities best shopping, nightlife, entertainment.

To delve deeper into the city’s history and culture, there’s nowhere better to stay than Schnoor, Bremen’s medieval Old Town. From Bremen Rathaus in Market Square to the quiet Old Town alleys, this area is fraught with history and blessed with some of Germany’s best historic architecture.

Foodies will wish to stay near the restaurant-lined waterfront, Schlachte, which sits just south of the Old Town overlooking the Weser River. Between the restaurants, pubs, and bars, it’s ideal for a more muted and casual evening out.

If you prefer edgy and industrial to whimsical and historic, head south of the Weser River to Alte Neustadt aka New Town. Built as a commercial port centre during the industrial revolution, this red-brick neighbourhood is now transformed into the city’s new-age hangout. During the day its cool coffee houses are the perfect place to chill, and at night its bars come to life with the city’s alternative crowds.

For a more refined Bremen experience, perhaps opt for Schwachhausen instead. This upscale business district is preferred by the city’s wealthier residents. Between its luxury hotels and fine dining restaurants, it will provide an exquisite stay in Bremen. Home to fun and learning-centric museums like Universum Bremen and Focke Museum, it’s also ideal for families.

With trams, buses, and Ubers aplenty, it’s explore every facet of Bremen from wherever you decide to stay in the city.

About Weserstadion

Weserstadion is a sports stadium primarily used to host football matches and is located in Bremen, Germany. It is the home ground of Werder Bremen.

Originally opened in 1947, the stadium has gone through many renovations, and in 2008, it was almost completely rebuilt. It is situated on the north bank of the Weser River and now has a capacity of 42,100. As well as regularly hosting domestic club-level football matches, the venue holds international games and music concerts.

There is a free Bundesliga travel guide app aimed at football fans with and without disabilities. Among other things, it offers an audio service for visually impaired and blind fans and information in plain language. This is a simplified variant of the standard German language - with the aim of giving as many people as possible access to information. In addition, you can select your individual support needs in the app and based on this you will receive all the information relevant to you - for example, where the barrier-free entrances or toilets are located in the respective stadium.
